synopsis
The Lang family has lived at Falcon Point for two hundred years. In the early days of World War II, Leopold Lang faces the decision to fight for the Nazi's or flee with his three children. The flight from Austria proves to be a dangerous journey and the family is ripped apart.
Decades later, fate brings together the Lang family grand children. Through a dangerous adventure of their own they learn of Falcon Point and the hardships their grandparents endured. As each of the cousins ventures to Falcon Point they learn of another who seeks to claim the grand property and the treasures it hides.
thoughts & feelings
To be honest I am not much of a suspense/thriller reader. As my husband would say my spirit animal is a chicken. I cannot handle scary or super intense books or movies. They rip my nerves apart and I can't sleep. With that being said I can honestly recommend this novel with high praise and know that it won't give anyone nightmares. It does need to come with a warning label though. And since none was provided I have written my own:

"Heirs of Falcon Point" is one of the most captivating books I have read in a long time. I was fully engrossed in this novel from beginning to end. I'm not even exaggerating. I HAD to know what happened to the original Lang family (Leopold and his three children) and then HAD to know what was going on with the grand children. It is a very suspenseful and addictive book...but in a good way.
My dear husband can testify to my obsession with this novel. I was lucky enough to received an advanced readers copy of this novel (THANK YOU!) and had to keep my lips tight about the story line. Luckily my husband is not a big reader so spilled all of the beans to him. He heard about every single character, major event, and plot twist. Basically, we had a run down after every single point of view shift.
Do you want to know the best part? This is going to be a series! I cannot tell you how excited I was to learn this. I will be preordering the rest of the series as soon as possible.
