The World Needs Who You Were Made To Be

"See how beautiful it can be when our differences share the same sky?"

synopsis

Are you ready for the ride of your life? Today we're going to take a ride in a hot air balloon! First, we need to build them. Each of our balloons will look a little different, and that's terrific. Our differences are what make us special and unique. Through hot air balloons let's learn about how the world needs who you were made to be.

thoughts & feelings

I love children's books. They are simple yet magical and the illustrations are fun and vibrant. My favorite children's books are usually the ones that teach a lesson. The first time I read "The World Needs Who You Were Made To Be" I cried...a lot. The message is delivered beautifully and the illustrations are (chefs kiss) perfection.

The message of this book is, well the title: The World Needs Who You Were Made To Be. I think this message is amazing and something that children definitely need to hear. Let's be honest us adults need the reminder as well. I loved the comparison between individuals and hot air balloons. My favorite thing about hot air balloons is seeing all of them together up in the sky. It's a giant moving art piece. They are beautiful as a group and each balloon is beautiful on it's own. The same is true with people. We are all so different but that's a good thing. Wouldn't the world be so boring if we were all the same?
