Thoughts & Feelings

When I first heard about the Horses, Hounds, and Happily Ever After anthologies I had some mixed feelings. First, I was super excited. Twenty historical novellas all combined into one giant collection?! Count me in! Then the doubt started to creep in. I hadn't heard of or read anything by about half of the authors...what if I didn't like them? Could all twenty stories really be that good?

I'm so glad I pushed my doubts aside and purchased this collection! The stories really are that great. I definitely have my favorites but I can honestly and happily report that I enjoyed reading every single one of the stories in the first volume of this collection.

Now, if you've been here for a while you know that I kind of struggle with novellas and anthologies because of the length. Sometimes you need a shorter story that you can dive into and not resurface until you're done, without neglecting everything else in your life. But after two novellas, back to back, I'm ready for a full length novel. So, the first volume did take me about five months to get through. But it wasn't because I was uninterested or didn't like it. I just rotated between full length novels and these anthologies. Since this was my plan from the beginning I reviewed each individual story, in its own post, as I read. That was I was able to provide honest and detailed reviews and I wouldn't forget anything. If you are interested in reading these reviews I have linked them all in the Book Information section of this post.

Sadly, the Horses, Hounds and Happily Ever After collection is not currently available for purchase. HOWEVER, quiet a few of these have also been published as part of the Saddles and Scoundrels anthology and are still available for purchase on Amazon. Those links are included in the post for each individual story.

I tried to make these posts/reviews as easy to navigate as possible so if you have any questions feel free to comment or email me and I will clarify.

Book Tags

The individual novella reviews have all of the language, steam level, and content/trigger warnings listed. This entire collection is clean and only has kissing scenes.
